UR gear/s are perfection in craftsmanship. Each gear is CAD designed and CNC machined from U.S. aluminum. They are the lightest and safest gears on the market. UR gears were the first 5 bolt design. Each gear is adjustable in one degree steps to a maximum of + or - 10 degrees (advance or retard) which is more than you will ever need. The timing marks are engraved and accurate to within one (1) minute of a degree (there are 60 minutes in a degree)! No need to send our gears to the machine shop to be re-indexed like other brands that are off as much as 1 to 2 degrees!

The fit of the inner and outer sections is the most critical part of cam gear machining. Any looseness, not the normal sliding movement but side to side, will cause bolts to come loose, no matter how much you tighten. UR gears fit tight, every time, so our gears will not come loose. Timing tooth shape is also extremely important for timing accuracy, long term reliability of the gear teeth and the timing belt. UR tooth profiles match or are better than original gears.

Our gears are hard black anodized to prevent wear from the timing belt. The black finish is so you can see the engraved timing marks better. HP gains vary depending on what you've done to your engine. Gains from 5 to 20 horsepower can easily be seen. We have recommended settings in the instructions. We also suggest going to a dyno for fine tuning.
